iTunes Error 20 & 3194 while Downgrading iPhone 4 Back to iOS 4.3.3

My iPhone 4 was restored from iOS 4.3.3 to iOS 4.3.5 few weeks ago. Fortunately, a friend helped me to downgrade my iPhone by getting me the saved SHSH blobs of my device from Cydia’s server. However, we always ended with iTunes error 3194 and error 20 everytime we tried to downgrade the device using TinyUmbrella and iTunes. Please help. Thanks.

Hello Earl, first, I would recommend you to download and install the latest version of iTunes if you haven’t updated the one installed on your computer. You can get the iTunes 10.4.1 from apple’s Software Update or using this link.

Anyway, to bypass iTunes error 3194 you will need to direct your iTunes to Cydia’s server instead to Apple’s server. If you aren’t familiar to the steps on how to do that then you can refer to this tutorial.

Regarding iTunes error 20 you are probably getting this error because you haven’t put your iPhone to DFU mode when downgrading your iPhone back to iOS 4.3.3 using TinyUmbrella. So to fix this error, all you need to do is connect your iPhone to iTunes and then press and hold the Power and Home button at the same time for 10 seconds. Then release the Power button after 10 seconds but continue holding the Home button for another 10 seconds. iTunes will recognize your device in recovery mode. Once detected, you can now downgrade your device to iOS 4.3.3. You can follow this guide on how to downgrade iPhone using TinyUmbrella. Also, follow this tutorial if you want to jailbreak your iPhone on iOS 4.3.3 using JailbreakMe 3.0.
