iPhone 4 Stuck at Black Screen After Jailbreaking iOS 5 Using Greenpois0n

Hi folks! Yesterday I updated my brand new iPhone 4 to iOS 5.0 and then tried to jailbreak it using Greenpois0n tool. And since I didn’t read the readme file, my iPhone is now stuck at black screen after putting it in DFU mode. I can’t even power OFF my phone. I am pretty clueless. Can I still fix this phone? Please help!

Hello Rico, your iPhone is stuck in DFU mode loop. You can fix this error by hard resetting your iPhone or by putting it to DFU mode and then restoring it to stock iOS 5 firmware. You can refer on the tutorial posted below on how to fix this error.

Hard Reboot:

Step 1: Press the Home button and the Power button simultaneously.

Step 2: Continue holding both buttons until the iPhone shuts itself off and begins to restart.

Step 3: Release both when you see the silver Apple logo on your screen.

DFU Mode:

Step 1: Connect your iPhone to your Mac or PC.

Step 2: Then press the Home and Power button at the same time for exactly 10 seconds.

Step 3: Then release the Power button after 10 seconds but continue holding the Home button until iTunes detects your iPhone in Recovery Mode.

If these tips don’t work, then you can use the standalone TinyUmbrella (Fix Recovery). Once fixed, you can now restore it to stock iOS 5 firmware (Hold down the Option / Shift key, click on Restore and locate the downloaded iOS 5 .IPSW file). To jailbreak iPhone 4 on iOS 5, you can use Redsn0w 0.9.9b7. The step-by-step guide on how to use Redsn0w 0.9.9b7 can be found here. Good luck!
