iOS 5 Notification Center Not Working After Jailbreaking iPhone 3GS

Hi guys, I have updated my iPhone 3GS (with iPad 06.15.00 baseband) to iOS 5 using Redsn0w 0.9.9b5 and then unlocked it with Ultrasn0w 1.2.4. Everything was working fine, until yesterday after I have discovered that some of my notifications are not coming thru. I have already checked my Notification Center settings and all are setup properly. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hello Marnie, iOS 5 Notification Center should work well on jailbroken and unlocked iPhone 3GS or iPhones. Anyway, have you tried to activate your iPhone, if not then please do so to fix this error. Your notification Center, as well as other feature of the iOS 5, will not work accordingly if your iPhone is still hacktivated. To activate your iPhone, all you have to do is insert the original carrier SIM of your device. If you don’t have the official SIM card of your iPhone you can use any AT&T (or any carrier to which your iPhone is locked to) and connect your device into your iTunes.

On the other hand, SAM app has been updated to support iOS 5 firmware. SAM app can be downloaded form Cydia Store under bingner repo. You can refer to this guide on how to use SAM.

Lastly, if the above tips don’t work, then restoring your iPhone to custom iOS 5 firmware might fix the problem. After restoring and jailbreaking, check this blog post for the detailed step-by-step guide to unlock iPhone 3GS with iPad baseband. Unfortunately, you will not be able to use PushFix or Push Doctor to fix your Notification Center as this is primarily because of the fact that these apps don’t support iOS 5. Hope this help. Good luck!
