How to Solve iPhone Reboot Issues With Redsn0w

So, I had my Iphone 4 jailbroken and flashed to Cricket. I know it's a tethered jailbreak, and the iOS 6.0.1. I accidentally let my phone die today and now, it won't reboot. Can I fix this myself without taking it back to where I originally had it flashed?

Hello Jerry! Since you've jailbroken your iPhone 4, you must know the jailbreak community only has a tethered jailbreak solution for iOS 6.0.1. This means you'll need to plug in your iPhone 4 each time you reboot.

From this perspective, there are several solutions to make your reboot relatively painless. The first option for a reboot would be to use Sn0wbreeze from iH8sn0w, if you're using Windows. On the other hand, to boot tethered, use iBooty. However, Sn0wbreeze does require a restore, and you'll want to avoid this step. A good solution would be to run Sn0wbreeze through the process of creating the ipsw, and then you'll find iBooty on your desktop.

The second option is using Redsn0w. This is much more convenient and easier to use. You can get Redsn0w from here and then open it up. Connect your iPhone 4, choose Extras >> Select IPSW. This step is very important, because you'll have to pick the iOS 6.0 instead of iOS 6.0.1 ipsw. If you don't have the iOS 6.0 ipsw, you can also get it here. Now, all you need to do is click Back and select 'Just Boot'. That's it!
