How to Fix Frash Abort() Food.c:43 Error on iOS 4.3.3?

Hello Jaxov, I have downloaded and installed Frash on my jailbroken iPhone 4 running on iOS 4.3.3. However, it but when I go onto a website and tap on a flash banner it gives me an error _abort() food.c:43 or unexpected error instead of showing the flash video. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled Frash through Cydia but still no result. Does anyone know why? Any idea how to fix this pesky error? Thanks.

Hello Vincent, unfortunately, there is no fix available for Frash when displaying “_abort() food.c:43” or “unexpected error” at the moment due to the fact that Frash for iOS 4.2.1 / iOS 4.3.x and above have not available yet. Additionally, aside from the “_abort() food.c:43” or “unexpected error”, there were also reports that Frash also conflicts with the new version Mobile Safari browser - making it quite unresponsive and laggy. Comex, who also created the JailbreakMe 3.0, already acknowledged the issue and have announced that he will release an updated version of Frash.

Comex: I’m not working on right now-frash might do it after this jailbreak is ready.

So far, the only possible solution available is via downgrading. However, this option requires you to have a saved SHSH Blobs. You can check this blog post on how to downgrade iPhone firmware using TinyUmbrella.

On the other hand, while waiting for the updated version of Frash, you may see other alternatives to enable Adobe flash video on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. You can download and install some special web-browser that has capability to bring Adobe Flash on iOS devices such as Puffin Web Browser or Skyfire app.
