How to Downgrade iPhone 4 on iOS 5 to iOS 4.3.3?

Hello Jaxov, I have accidentally upgraded my iPhone 4 to stock iOS 5 firmware using iTunes due to which I have lost my untethered jailbreak and Gevey SIM unlock. Now, what I want to do is downgrade my Phone back to iOS 4.3.3 and get untethered jailbreak. Please help. Thanks.

Hello Conan! Unfortunately, there’s no way you will be able to unlock your iPhone again even after downgrading your iPhone back to iOS 4.3.3. This is primarily because of the baseband or modem firmware of your iPhone which got updated to 04.11.08 (both Gevey SIM and Ultrasn0w does not support this baseband version). And even if you have managed to downgrade the firmware of your device, the baseband of your iPhone will be the same.

Anyway, if you want to downgrade just to get untethered jailbreak, you will need iOS 4.3.3 SHSH blobs. There’s no way you can downgrade any iOS devices without iOS 4.3.3 saved SHSH blobs. If you don’t have saved SHSH blobs which was created using TinyUmbrella, you can check Cydia server for saved SHSH blobs. You can refer to this tutorial on how to downgrade iPhone 4 on iOS 5 back to iOS 4.3.x using iTunes and saved SHSH blobs. However, you should be noted that there are chances that you might get a “No Service” error after downgrading the firmware of your device. According to some reports, the baseband of the iOS 5 (04.11.08) is not supported by iOS 4.3.x. If you get this error, just restore your iPhone to iOS 5, jailbreak it with Redsn0w 0.9.9b7 and wait for the untethered iOS 5 jailbreak.
