Can’t Download or Install Cydia Tweak on My Jailbroken iPhone 4

Hello Jaxov team, I got an iPhone 4 which was originally jailbroken and unlocked on iOS 4.3.5. Recently, some of my defaults apps started to crash and I had no choice but to restore it to a custom iOS 5 firmware created using Sn0wbreeze 2.8b8. After jailbreaking my iPhone, I re-unlocked using it Gevey SIM. However, Cydia is crashing every time I am trying to download new apps. I am no expert on this, please help. Thanks.

Hello Bon, this error is kind of unusual as the current version of Cydia is working accordingly on the new iOS 5 firmware. By the way, have you tried to reset your phone’s network setting? To do that, just go to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings). Also, make sure you are connected to a high-speed and unrestricted Wi-Fi network. You can also update your Cydia as well as its pre-installed repositories by launching Cydia -> Changes -> Refresh. The entire updating process will only take a minute or two (depends on your repo and Cydia tweaks).

On the other hand, if these tips don’t work, then restoring your iPhone to the new custom iOS 5 firmware will definitely fix this issue. But this time, instead of using Sn0wbreeze I would recommend you to use Redsn0w 0.9.9b7, which is available for both Mac OS X and Windows. But please be noted that the ability to create custom IPSW is available only for Mac OS X users (Windows support will be released soon). You can check this blog post to download and know more about Redsn0w 0.9.9b7, and this guide on how to unlock iPhone using Gevey SIM. Oh! I forgot the most important step, that is "DO NOT" forget to boot your iPhone into tethered jailbroken state using iBooty or Redsn0w after the jailbreak. Good luck!
