Bulletin: Access iPhone’s iOS 5 Notification Center From Lockscreen [Jailbreak Tweak]

While the iOS is definitely one of the best mobile operating systems out there in terms of user-experience, security and stability, one has to admit that it can be quite limited in terms of features and functionalities. And this is one of the reason to jailbreak our iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Since iOS 5 has been launched and jailbreakable, its new feature the Notification Center has become a favorite of jailbreak developers to create tweaks and apps for. Here's a new jailbreak tweak for Notification Center that most people would certainly find useful.

Bulletin Jailbreak Tweak
If you are familiar of jailbreak app IntelliscreenX, you will know that such tweaks enables you to access the Notification Center even from the lockscreen, along with a host of other features. But for some people, IntelliscreenX can "too much" and can slow down their devices. What if you only want the functionality that allows you to access the Notification Center from the lockscreen? Would you still stick with IntelliscreenX? Well not quite, because there is a new jailbreak tweak in town that you might want to check out.

This new jailbreak tweak is called Bulletin from developer Ma Jun, a simple jailbreak tweak that allows you to access Notification Center from the lockscreen without unlocking. And just like IntelliscreenX, you will be able to use all your installed notification widgets as well. The Bulletin tweak doesn't place a new icon in your homescreen but instead you will be able to access its options in Settings app. This is where you can turn window transparency on or off, enable / disable the tweak and so on.

The Bulletin tweak is a great option for those who simply wants to access their Notification Center from the lockscreen, without all the added features of IntelliscreenX. Bulletin is now available in Cydia under the BigBoss repo for the fair price of $0.99.

To download and install Bulletin, you must of course have a jailbroken iPhone, iPad or iPod touch running iOS 5. Fortunately, we have the tutorials that you need. For iPhone 4S and iPad 2 users, you will need to download the Absinthe Jailbreak Tool and follow these tutorials: To jailbreak your iDevice on Mac using Absinthe, refer to our Jailbreak iPhone 4S Guide for Mac or for Windows users, you can read our Jailbreak iPhone 4S Guide for Windows. As for the rest of the devices (A4), you can use our iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak guide. [via iDownloadblog]
