Firstly thank you very much for such an informative post.Secondly here are the specs of my phone (which I’ve posted for anyone who may have had the same issues as I ): iPhone 3GVersion 4.2.1Firmware 06.15.00Model MB3G EnabledI’ve followed every step without any issues (minus a few download & installation issues which I overcame by changing file sources); however the main issue was when I added the .deb file.(Please keep in mind that I had to create the folders Cydia > AutoInstall myself)I checked on other sites they said that it is not an issue (and in fact some say it HAS to be created by user)Anyway I proceeded to do that and restarted the phone once, twice and thrice still no network… In fact, after I restart the phone (and disconnect from pc & reconnect) the .deb file no longer showed in the iExplorer…What changed ALL of this was that I added another .deb file The files I added are : ultrasn0w.debmobilesubstrate_0.9.3367-1_iphoneos-arm.debOnce I added the second file and restarted once the phone told me that “iPhone is now Activated” and I have full coverage….I hope this helps others who may have the same issue

    Is it a problem if I upgraded from Ultrasn0w 1.2.1 to 1.2.5?

      Patrick9 years, 9 months ago

Ultrasn0w 1.2.5 offers nothing new but compatibility with iOS 5.0.1, so unless you are updating to iOS 5.0.1, it would be pointless to use 1.2.5.
