Will Comex Release JailbreakMe 3.1 to Fix Jailbreak Errors?

Hi guys, I’m hearing rumors that Comex is about to release a new version JailbreakMe? Well, I have successfully jailbroken my iPhone 4 on iOS 4.3.3 using JailbreakMe 3.0 and already restored my app and settings backup. However, since I have backup, I restored back to stock iOS 4.3.3 as some of my jailbreak apps crashed. And I am not sure if there are compatibility issues between the new Cydia app with the rest of my installed iPhone jailbreak apps. Thanks.

Hello Matt, definitely! In fact, Comex is fully aware of these minor issues and have already acknowledge and announced via Twitter that he will roll out a new version of JailbreakMe tool to fix some of the bugs associated with it, which includes issues with installing jailbreak packages, Cydia app icon vanishes after jailbreaking, “There was a problem downloading the jailbreak files. Invalid checksum” bug, and the iPad Camera Connection kit malfunctioning issue.

Comex previously maintained that the update will be available through Cydia for those who have successfully jailbroke their iOS device using JailbreakMe 3.0 and for those who haven’t succeeded to jailbreak their device the update will be available via the official website of JailbreakMe Tool –

On the other hand, for those of you who are planning to jailbreak their iOS device using JailbreakMe 3.0, it is highly recommended to wait for the update before jailbreaking your device. Though, Comex haven’t provided ETA, there were some speculation that the JailbreakMe 3.1 will be available next week.
