Wi-Fi Problem on iPhone 4 After Redsn0w 0.9.8b7 Jailbreak

I am a first time jailbreaker. I just got an iPhone 4 and I immediately tried to jailbreak it on iOS 4.3.5 using Redsn0w 0.9.8b4, which is a tethered jailbreak. The problem is that my Wi-Fi is not working at all after I jailbroke my iPhone using Redsn0w. It is weird because the Wi-Fi connection is showing that I have full bars, however I can’t access to the internet when I try to open Safari or Cydia. Is there a way to downgrade this phone back to iOS 4.3.3 or iOS 4.3.4 and fix my Wi-Fi? Thanks.

Hello Rajko, you should be noted that downgrading iPhone firmware is only possible if you have saved SHSH blobs which was created using iFaith, Cydia, or TinyUmbrella. Anyway, if you were jailbroken before on iOS 4.3.3, you can check Cydia’s server if the application automatically saved the SHSH blobs of your device. You can follow this guide on how to downgrade using TinyUmbrella.

Anyway, regarding your Wi-Fi issues, have you tried to reset your network settings? If not, then please do so. To do that, just go to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings. Also, try to reboot your modem, router, and iOS device.

If resetting your network settings and rebooting your hardwares doesn’t work, then I would recommend you to check the IP address acquired by your jailbroken iPhone. If your IP starts with 169, then you should reset your modem and router to fix this issue. This issue normally occurs on most routers that do not do not usually release IPs for a very long time. After resetting your router, reboot your iPhone and setup your network settings. That’s it and you are good to go!
