Unable to Downgrade iPhone 4 from iOS 4.3.5 to iOS 4.3.3 Using TinyUmbrella

Hi, I just jailbroke my iPhone last week using JailbreakMe 3.0, and now here I am very upset as I can’t restore my iPhone back to iOS 4.3.3. I am getting "Error 3194" while downgrading my iPhone using TinyUmbrella (latest version for Windows). I restored my iPhone to iOS 4.3.5 yesterday because Cydia and other iTunes app are not working. So what should I do now? How can I resolve this? Thanks.

Hello Reggie, there are two reasons why you fail to downgrade your iPhone 4 back to iOS 4.3.3. The first is, you don’t have a saved iOS 4.3.3 SHSH Blobs. Though you have the latest TinyUmbrella installed on your device, you will still not be able to downgrade using the TinyUmbrella alone. The saved SHSH is a MUST HAVE in order to downgrade an iOS device back from its previous firmware. The second reason is iTunes can’t access Apple server. This is probably because Apple already stopped signing the iOS 4.3.3 firmware. Anyway, there are two options available to fix this error. The first is through modifying iTunes HOSTS file and point it to Saurik’s Cydia Server instead to Apple’s server. You can refer on this tutorial on how to fix iTunes 3194 error by editing the HOSTS file. On the other hand, you can create a singed iOS 4.3.3 using iFaith SHSH Blobs Dumper. Unlike TinyUmbrella, iFaith has capability to save SHSH blobs even Apple stopped singing the firmware. You can download iFaith version 1.1 using this link, and the step by step guide on how to create signed iOS 4.3.3 firmware can be found here.
