Trojan Virus Detected when Using iFaith to Backup iOS 4.3.3 SHSH Blobs

Hi guys, I have downloaded iFaith version 1.1 from iH8sn0w’s official website in order to backup my iPhone 4 iOS 4.3.3 SHSH blobs before jailbreaking it. However, when extracting the downloaded .ZIP file, my anti-virus detects iFaith as a virus “Threat Detected: Trojan horse Dropper.Generic4.GPB”. Is this normal when using iFaith? Or do I need to download a new version of iFaith form other websites? Please advice. Thanks in advance!

Hello Milton, you don’t need to download the application again as you have the right tool., Almost all other websites and blogs uses the same Hotfile link were you can download iH8sn0w iFaith SHSH Blobs Dumper. This is quite normal especially if you were using AVG anti-virus. In fact, this also happens with other jailbreak tools.

Anyway, just to make sure that iFaith will run smoothly on your computer, just simply deactivate your Anti-Virus while using iFaith to backup your SHSH blobs, and then reactivate it once you are done. If you aren’t familiar with the steps, then you can follow this tutorial on how to backup iOS 4.3.3 SHSH blobs using iFaith.

Also, you can follow our step-by-step guide on how to jailbreak iPhone 4 on iOS 4.3.3 using JailbreakMe 3.0 or with Redsn0w 0.9.6RC16. Then if you want to restore your iPhone to iOS 4.3.3, you can refer on this tutorial on how to create signed iOS 4.3.3 IPSW file using iFaith.
