TinyUmbrella Not Detecting iPhone 4 when Downgrading to iOS 4.3.3

Hi, I am trying to downgrade my iPhone from iOS 5.0.1 back to iOS 4.3.3 using TinyUmbrella. However, the application do not detect my iPhone 4 or can’t connect to TSS server. How do I fix this? I am using Windows 7. Thanks.

Hello Nickson, please ensure that you are using the latest version of TinyUmbrella. Anyway, have you tried to use or download a new TinyUmbrella for your Windows? Well, you can use this link to download TinyUmbrella version 5.01.00 for Windows (or from here for Mac OS X users). Once downloaded, just simply follow our step-by-step guide posted here on how to downgrade iPhone firmware using TinyUmbrella. If you still get the same error, then you can check some of the tips posted below to bypass this error.
  • Check your computer USB ports for software / driver updates (restart your PC after updating).
  • Connect your iPhone 4 directly on your computer (no USB hubs / extensions) and use the USB ports located at the back of the chassis as it is more robust.
  • Use a different iPhone USB connector. It is always recommended to use the one that comes along with your iOS device or manufactured by Apple instead of using any third party connector.

That’s it! Hopefully you will be able to downgrade your iPhone 4 without getting any error. Good luck!
