Any Remote Control App for Jailbroken iPhone 3GS in Cydia or iTunes?

Hello Jaxov, I just got a brand new iPhone 3GS and it is currently jailbroken on iOS 5 using Redsn0w 0.9.9b7b. I saw someone using their iOS device to their iTunes remotely. I want to get a remote control app for my device. Can you guys please help me? Where can I download such app, from Cydia or iTunes? Thanks.

Hello Rebecca! Well, there are numerous Remote Control apps available in Apple’s App Store. Anyway, you can check the tutorial posted below on how to download and setup Remote app on your iPhone 3GS:

Step 1: Launch iTunes, go to AppStore and search for “Remote” or just use this download link.

Step 2: Download the app, connect your iPhone to your PC or Mac and sync it to iTunes.

Step 3: After syncing, you should now see the app on your iOS device.

Step 4: Launch the newly installed app and then select the Add an iTunes Library option.

Step 5: After selecting this option, it will ask you for a passcode. Just note it because you will be going to need it to connect the iTunes library to your iOS device.

Step 6: Now, go back to iTunes. Go to Advanced menu and then select the Turn On Home Sharing option by entering your Apple ID

Step 7: In iTunes, you will see another iOS device option below the Devices with Remote icon. Just simply click on it.

Step 8: iTunes will prompt you for the 4 digit passcode that you have obtained in Step 5.

Step 9: Just enter the 4 digit passcode and you are done.

That’s it! You will now be able to access and control your entire iTunes library using your Remote app.
