Redsn0w Stuck at Uploading Ramdisk while Jailbreaking iPhone 3GS on iOS 4.3.3

Hello guys, I need help in jailbreaking my iPhone 4. I am trying to jailbreak my iPhone 4 on iOS 4.3.3 using Redsn0w 0.9.6rc15 but I always got stuck on the part where Redsn0w is “Uploading Ramdisk”. I tried to rejailbreak but my iPhone got stuck in recovery mode. Any suggestions to fix this error? FYI, I am using Windows 7. Thanks.

Hello Redmond, you can try the latest version of Redsn0w for iOS 4.3.3 and see if you still get the same error while jailbreaking your iPhone on iOS 4.3.3. You can get the Redsn0w 0.9.6RC19 for your Windows using this link (Mac OS X users can get Redsn0w 0.9.6RC19 from here). Then you can refer on this guide on how to jailbreak iOS 4.3.3 using Redsn0w 0.9.6RC19.

If the jailbreak is unsuccessful and you still get stuck at “Uploading Ramdisk”, then you should run Redsn0w as administrator in Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode as well set the tool’s process affinity to CPU 1 through Task Manager. You can follow the tutorial posted below on how to bypass this error:

Step 1: Open Redsn0w properties by right-clicking on the downloaded Redsn0w.exe and choosing Properties from the context-menu.

Step 2: Then switch to Compatibility tab and then select Windows XP (Service Pack 2) as the compatibility option. Then click OK button to close the window.

Step 3: Now you have to right-click on Redsn0w.exe and select Run as administrator from the context-menu.

Step 4: Run Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete and then click on the Processes tab.

Step 5: From the Processes tab select redsn0w.exe and then choose Set Affinity...

Step 6: Then set the Process Affinity to CPU 1 only.

Step 7: Close the window by clicking the Ok button.

That’s it! You can now jailbreak your iPhone 4 on iOS 4.3.3. Hopefully you’ll not encounter the error again.

Still hasn’t worked. I tried setting the affinity to multiple different settings, including only 0 and only 1 and all. I tried using this with compatibility mode SP3 and 2 for XP, as an admin.Had to diable UAC and restart my PC just to get permission to set the affinity, too, even though I only have one account on Windows, and it’s Admin. Windows 7 Ult. x64
