Jailbroken Factory Unlocked iPhone 4 Encountered iTunes Error 28
Hello Jaxov, I have jailbroken my iPhone 4 on iOS 4.3.3 using JailbreakMe 3.0. All was working well, I have successfully installed Cydia and also started to use the app to download some tweaks. However, iTunes sometimes throws error 28 when I am syncing some of my apps and picture with my PC. Is this normal when you jailbreak your iPhone? Thanks.

Hello Nate, NO! This error is not just a simple iTunes error nor JailbreakMe 3.0
bug. In fact, iTunes
Error 28 is not just a simple software issue, this error is referring to your hardware. The problem is your iPhone have a bad dock connection. Hopefully, you get your iPhone from a legitimate iPhone seller and not just from some seller on eBay. If you get your factory unlocked iPhone 4
then you can take the hardware back to the store and request for a repair or hardware replacement. BUT, before sending your iPhone for warranty you should restore your iPhone to iOS 4.3.5 as well as put it in factory default settings in order to remove all the traces of the jailbreak and modifications. If not, then there’s no way you can get a new iPhone or a fix because your warranty is already voided because of the jailbreak. You can check this blog post
to download and know more about iOS 4.3.5. Hopefully you will be able to restore your iPhone to stock iPhone firmware. Goodluck!
