Jailbreak iPhone 4 on Latest Firmware while Preserving 03.10.01 Baseband

Hi guys, I need some assistance in jailbreaking my iPhone 4 on the latest iPhone firmware while preserving its baseband. I have an iPhone 4 and it was jailbroken on iOS 4.3.2 with 03.10.01 baseband, and the device was unlocked using Gevey SIM. So, how can I update to the latest firmware and keep my baseband? Thanks.

Hello Joey, you will be able to update to iOS 4.3.5 and preserve the baseband of your iPhone from getting upgraded using PwnageTool 4.3.3 (yes, it is the same PwnageTool used to jailbreak iOS 4.3.3) by creating and restoring custom and pre-jailbroken IPSW file on your iPhone 4. However, before restoring / jailbreaking your iPhone to iOS 4.3.5, you should be note that there’s no untethered jailbreak support for this firmware as Apple permanently patched the untethered jailbreak exploit which was discovered by Stefan Esser that was utilized to jailbreak iOS 4.3.1 up to iOS 4.3.3 jailbreak. Meaning, you have to connect your iPhone to your Mac and power it on using Tethered Boot Utility.

Anyway, you can check out and download iOS 4.3.5 from this blog post. In order to jailbreak, of course you will need to download PwnageTool 4.3.3 from here, as well as the PwnageTool Bundle for iPhone 4, and the Tetheredboot utility. Once you have downloaded all the required software, you can follow our step by step guide on how to jailbreak an iPhone using PwnageTool and PwnageTool Bundle from here. Then after you have successfully jailbroke and preserved the baseband of your iPhone, you can check this tutorial on how to unlock iPhone 4 using Gevey SIM Pro.
