Jailbreak Apps & Tweaks Not Working on iPhone 4 After iOS 5 Jailbreak with Redsn0w

Hello people, I restored iOS 5 on my iPhone 4, got it jailbroken using Redsn0w, and successfully restored my backup. After restoring my backup, I started downloading all of my previously installed jailbreak apps, which includes iFile, SBSettings, FakeCarrier, Backgrounder, WinterBoard, etc. However, after rebooting, I have noticed that some of my jailbreak apps are not working. What do I need to do? Thanks.

Hello Edsel! First, you should be noted that not all apps (Including jailbreak and App Store apps) support the newly baked iOS 5 firmware. Therefore, these apps and tweaks needs to be updated in order to work on the new version of operating system or you should wait for its developer to release an update. Anyway, you can follow the step-by-step guide posted below to update all jailbreak apps, tweaks and Cydia repos installed on your jailbroken iOS device.

Step 1: Launch Cydia app from the SpringBoard of your jailbroken iOS device.
Step 2: Once completely loaded, tap on the Changes menu located on the Cydia’s bottom screen.
Step 3: Then followed by tapping on the"Upgrade All" button located at the top-right side.
Step 4: Lastly, tap on the Confirm tab to start the Cydia apps updating process.
Step 5: Once done, just simply respring your device, or tethered boot your device to ensure that all changes are applied successfully.

You can also download and install an app called Crash Reporter from Cydia under BigBoss repo. Crash Reporter will help you in determining which app is giving you error. Also, check this link for the updated Cydia apps and tweaks.
