iPhone 4 Stuck in Recovery Loop After Downgrading to iOS 4.3.3

I just downgraded my jailbroken iPhone 4 from iOS 4.3.5 back to iOS 4.3.3 after accidentally restoring it to the latest firmware. Then entire downgrading process went smoothly and in the end my iPhone restored successfully. However, my iPhone is not booting normally. The device always gets stuck in recovery mode. I think I already tried every trick to get it out of recovery mode but nothing happened. I tried to restore it 3 times but no luck. Thanks.

Hello Rabbah, I bet you haven’t tried the ever-reliable TinyUmbrella (Fix Recovery). You should give this a try and it will definitely do the trick for you. To do that, of course you will need to download the standalone TinyUmbrella (Fix Recovery) for Mac OS X or Windows. You can get the latest version of TinyUmbrella (Fix Recovery) from here if you are using a Mac, or using this link if you are on Windows. Anyway, you can refer on the tutorial posted below on how to use TinyUmbrella (Fix Recovery) to kick iOS device out of recovery mode loop.

Step 1: Download Zlib1.dll from heare and put it in the same location where fixrecovery43.exe is located.

Step 2: Then connect your iPhone 4 into the computer via USB cable and power OFF your device.

Step 3: Then launch TinyUmbrella (Fix Recovery) as well as iTunes and then put your iPhone into DFU mode.

  • Press and hold the Power and Home button for 10 seconds.
  • Then release Power button after 10 seconds but continue holding the Home button for another 10 seconds.

Step 4: That’s it! TinyUmbrella (Fix Recovery) will do the job to fix the error.

Once you have fixed your issue, then you can now jailbreak it on iOS 4.3.3 using JailbreakMe 3.0 or Redsn0w. If for some reason that you’ve encountered iTunes 3194, then you can refer on this guide on how to fix it.
