iPhone 4 Stuck at Sn0wbreeze Logo After Restoring iOS 5 Custom Firmware

Hi, I have an iPhone 4 with iOS 4.3.5 firmware and baseband 04.10.08 installed on it. Recently, I updated my iPhone to iOS 5 using iOS 5 custom firmware created by Sn0wbreeze 2.8b8 but after booting it into tethered mode, my iPhone got stuck at Sn0wbreeze logo screen. I have already tried to re-restore the custom iOS 5 firmware but no avail. What do I need to do? Please help me to fix this problem. Thanks.

Hello Wilmer, iBooty should be able to fix this problem. Maybe, there’s something wrong with your iBooty tool. Anyway, you can download iBooty 2.2 for your iPhone 4 using this link and then follow the tutorial posted below on how to tethered boot iPhone 4 on iOS 5:

Step 1: First, power off and connect your iPhone into your PC. Then run the downloaded iBooty.exe and select your iPhone from the drop-down list of iOS devices.

Step 2: Then put your iPhone in DFU mode:

  • Press the Home and Power button at the same time for 10 seconds.
  • Then release the Power after 10 seconds but keep holding the Home button.
  • Just wait till iBooty detects your iPhone in DFU mode and then release the Home button.

Step 3: As soon as iBooty detects your iPhone in DFU mode, it will immediately patch your iPhone using the Limera1n exploit.

Step 4: If you get stuck at "Waiting for device..." step, all you have to do is perform the Step 2 and put your iPhone in DFU mode again.

That’s it! If this doesn’t work, you can use the new Redsn0w 0.9.9b7 to create a custom iOS 5 firmware for your device. Or, use the standalone TinyUmbrella (Fix Recovery). Good luck!
