Hi, I have updated my iPhone 4 from iOS 4.2.1 to iOS 5.0.1 and got it jailbroken using Redsn0w 0.9.9b8. After jailbreaking, I noticed that the phone is quite laggy and unresponsive. It freezes for around 30-40 seconds, especially when I am checking the Notification Center or using SBSettings app. Do you think it has something to do with Cydia tweaks installed on my iPhone? I have SemiTether, SBSettings, WinterBoard, and AppSync. Please help. Thanks.

I am not sure if this has something to do with some of the apps installed on your iPhone but we are hearing some reports from our reader that their jailbroken iPhone get quite sluggish and unresponsive after installing SemiTether app. You should be noted that SemiTether is still in early beta stage and it requires a lot of time to get fully developed and working. If that’s the case, then I would recommend you to uninstall SemiTether on your device (through SSHing). You can also just simply restore and then rejailbreak your iPhone to ensure that you have got all fresh Cydia packages. You can refer to this blog post for the detailed iOS 5.0.1 tethered jailbreak using Redsn0w 0.9.9b8. That’s it! Good luck...
