iPhone 4 on iOS 5 Crashes After Installing Cydia Tweaks and Apps

I have accidentally restored my iPhone 4 to iOS 5 which previously jailbroken on iOS 4.3.3 with JailbreakMe 3.0. Once on iOS 5, I jailbroke it using Redsn0w 0.9.9b4 and has started to download some of the previously installed Cydia tweaks and apps on my iPhone. But the problem is my iPhone crashes all the time. I have an iPod Touch which was jailbroken the same way but I didn’t encounter this error. Is there any way to fix this? How about downgrading? I am no expert when it comes to troubleshooting and fixing things. Please help. Thanks.

Hello Teddy! Well, there are numerous options available to fix your device. You can refer on this tutorial to check Cydia’s server for SHSH blobs as well as downgrade your iPhone back to iOS 4.3.3 using TinyUmbrella. Secondly, try to uninstall or update all apps that you have downloaded from Cydia Store. You can do that by launching Cydia and navigating to Changes (if you want to update) or Manage (if you want to uninstall some apps). Also, an app called Crash Reporter that can be downloaded only in Cydia Store might help you to fix this error. This app has capability to determine which app or tweaks are giving you headache. And best of all, Cydia Reporter works on both App Store and Cydia apps.

Lastly, restoring you iPhone back to stock iOS 5 and rejailbreaking will definitely fix this error. But this time, instead of jailbreaking using Redsn0w 0.9.9b4, I would recommend you to use Redsn0w 0.9.9b6 as this jailbreak tool is more stable. You can get Redsn0w 0.9.9b6 for from here if you are on Windows or using this link if you are rocking a Mac OS X. Then you can refer on this tutorial on how to use Redsn0w to tethered jailbreak iOS 5 on iPhone 4. Good luck!
