Hi guys, I am experiencing serious problem on my jailbroken iPhone 4. The Springboard of my iPhone 4 crashed and goes automatically to safe mode every time I am receiving text messages. But I can send SMS to my contacts with no problem. Any idea what’s the reason for this problem? Anyway, my iPhone 4 was upgraded from iOS 4.1 to iOS 4.3.3 and it was jailbroken using JailbreakMe 3.0. Do you think it has something to do with some of the installed apps on my device? All help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Basically, your iPhone is encountering some error from some of the apps installed on your iOS device, probably a MobileSubstrate addon that is not functioning properly. Do you have BiteSMS app installed on your jailbroken iPhone 4? If yes, then I would recommend you to upgrade it to BiteSMS version 5.5 via Cydia. This is probably because BiteSMS has compatibility issue on iOS device which was jailbroken using JailbreakMe 3.0.
Secondly, you can also install a jailbreak app from Cydia called Crash Reporter available through BigBoss Repository. If you aren’t aware, Crash Reporter will help you to efficiently identify the root cause of the crash. Once the Crash Reporter is launched, it will provide you with a list of possible application / extension that might cause the recent crash. Crash Reporter apps also compatible with non-jailbroken apps and tools. You could also send crash reports to iTunes Store.
Lastly, just to make sure, since you have saved iOS 4.3.3 SHSH Blobs, you can restore your device to stock iOS 4.3.3 and then re-jailbreak it using JailbreakMe 3.0 or Redsn0w 0.9.6rc19. You can download the stock iOS 4.3.3 from here, while the Redsn0w 0.9.6rc19 can be downloaded using the following download links:
Download Redsn0w 0.9.6rc19 for Mac OS X / Windows. Then follow this step by step guide to jailbreak iPhone 4 using JailbreakMe 3.0 which can be found on this blog post, and the tutorial on how to use Redsn0w 0.9.6rc19 is posted here.
