iPhone 4 Camera App Crashed After Jailbreaking iOS 4.3.3 with JailbreakMe

Hello to all, I am experiencing quite unusual issue on my jailbroken iPhone 4 after updating and jailbreaking it on iOS 4.3.3. I have updated my iPhone 4 from iOS 4.2.1 to iOS 4.3.3 and then jailbroke it using JailbreakMe 3.0. But since then, the iPhone’s camera stopped working! When I launch the Camera app, the shutter shows itself and gets stuck, and after few seconds the application crashes and automatically returns to homescreen. Additionally, I am also getting crashes on some of my App Store apps. How can I fix this? Please help me.

Hello Kevin, have you installed some third-party app / tweak for your camera? If yes, then try to uninstall them and check your Camera app as this third-party app may conflict with the default Camera app. Also, you can install a jailbreak app called Crash Reporter from Cydia available under BigBoss Repository. With Crash Reporter, you can efficiently identify the root cause of the crash. To use Crash Reporter, just simply launch the app when you get app crashes and it will provide you with a list of possible application / extension that might cause the recent crash. Crash Reporter has capability to determine crashes on both Cydia and iTunes apps. Additionally, you can also update some of your Cydia and iTunes apps.

Lastly, if these tips don’t work, then the only way to fix this error is by restoring your iPhone to stock iOS 4.3.3 firmware. You can follow this tutorial on how to create a signed iOS 4.3.3 using iFaith SHSH Blobs Dumper since Apple already stopped singing iOS 4.3.3 firmware. After restoring your iPhone to iOS 4.3.3, you can now re-jailbreak it using JailbreakMe 3.0.
