Hi folks! Recently, I upgraded my iPhone 3GS baseband to 06.15.00 so that I could unlock it with Ultrasn0w. Then I restored it to custom iOS 5.0.1 firmware using Redsn0w 0.9.9b8. After jailbreaking, I tried to reboot my iPhone into tethered mode using Redns0w but the device is still not booting at all. It is stuck! Any ideas? Thanks.

Hello West, please ensure that your iPhone is properly connected to your computer. It is highly recommended to use the original cable that is manufactured by Apple Inc. to connect your iOS device to your Mac or PC. Also, make sure that the drivers of your USB ports are updated. Anyway, have you tried to use the Redsn0w 0.9.9b8’ Recovery Fix mode? If not, then please do so.
To do that, just simply connect your iPhone to your computer, launch Redsn0w, select Extras, and then click on the Recovery Fix option.
This process will work if your iPhone is stuck in recovery or DFU mode loop. Aside from this, you can also use the standalone TinyUmbrella (Fix Recovery). If you need tutorial on how to use TinyUmbrella, then you can refer on this blog post for the step-by-step guide on how to fix iPhone using TinyUmbrella (Fix Recovery).
If all else fails, then your last resort is to restore your iPhone to custom iOS 5.0.1. To do that, you can follow our step-by-step guide posted here on how to jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 using Redsn0w 0.9b8. Then once you have managed to jailbreak your iPhone, check this link on how to unlock Phone 3GS using Ulrtrasn0w 1.2.4. Good luck!
