Hi, I am using an iPhone 3GS with iPad 6.15.00 baseband which was previously jailbroken on iOS 4.2.1. Recently, I used Redsn0w 0.9.9b7 to rejailbreak it on iOS 5.0.1. While jailbreaking, the phone was accidentally unplugged from my computer therefore I had to redo the entire process again. Once done, I disconnected it form my computer and did a tethered reboot using “Just boot” option. The entire process went smoothly, but after an hour I noticed that the phone kept crashing, so I reconnected it to my PC for a tethered boot. But instead of booting, it got stuck in Recovery Mode. Please help me to fix this. Thanks.

If this doesn’t work, then you can use the standalone TinyUmbrella (Fix Recovery) to kick your iPhone out of the recovery mode loop. The detailed instructions on how to use this tool is posted below:
Step 2: Download Zlib1.dll from here and put it in the same location where fixrecovery43.exe is located.
Step 3: Then connect your iPhone 4 into the computer via USB cable and power OFF your device.
Step 4: Now, launch iTunes as well as the downloaded TinyUmbrella (Fix Recovery) and put your iPhone into DFU mode.
- Press and hold the Power and Home button for 10 seconds.
- Then release Power button after 10 seconds but continue holding the Home button for another 10 seconds.
Step 5: That’s it! TinyUmbrella (Fix Recovery) will start fixing the error on your device.
That’s it! Hopefully you will be able to fix this error using the above tips and tutorials. If you want to unlock, then navigate to this link for Ultrasn0w unlock tutorial (install Ultrasn0w 1.2.4). Good luck!
