My iPhone 3GS is running on jailbroken iOS 5 firmware. Just recently, I downloaded some tweaks for my Notification Center such as WeeSearch, WeeKillBackground, and other jailbreak apps including BiteSMS, SBSetting, MyWi, Five Icon Dock, and a lot more. However, most of the App Store and Cydia app icons disappeared after booting into tethered mode. Then they reappeared after respringing the Springboard but again disappeared after a minute or two. This is unusual issue as I haven’t encountered such error before. Do you think it has something to do with some of the apps installed on my iPhone? Thanks.

On the other hand, if you still having the same issue after uninstalling some of the jailbreak apps installed on your jailbroken iOS device, then your last resort is to restore and rejailbreak your iPhone on iOS 5 (create a custom firmware if you are an Ultrasn0w unlocker) and then rejailbreak your iPhone 3GS using Redsn0w 0.9.9b8. You can get Redsn0w 0.9.9b8 from here, while the tutorial for Redsn0w 0.9.9b8 is posted on this link. That’s it! Good luck!
