iOS 5 Notification Center on iPad Doesn’t Work?

Hello Jaxov, I have a non-jailbroken first gen-iPad (which was previously jailbroken on iOS 4.3.3 using Redsn0w) running on the new iOS 5 beta 1 OS. All features are working fine except for the new Notification Center. No email notifications, I have set up my Gmail account via the exchange option in the mail settings, but still no notification in the Notification Centre. Please help me to resolve this issue. Looking forward. Thanks.

Hello Mike, have you tried rebooting your iPad? Are you a registered iOS developer with an updated UDID? Well the Notification Center of your iPad is empty primarily because iPad does not have Weather / Stocks apps, and Notification Center widgets is not available as well. But based on your description, it seems like it is a bug in the iOS. And if that’s the case, the best thing to do at the moment is to restore your iPad back to iOS 4.3.3 via iTunes and wait for the second beta version of the iOS 5 or for the final version of the iOS as the iPhone maker will definitely resolve this issue. Some of our readers have also reported the same Notification Center issue on their iPhone 4 and iPad 1 couple of days back. But they have resolved it after rebooting their iDevice.

So if you want to downgrade back to iOS 4.3.3, then simply follow the step by step guide posted here to downgrade iOS 5 Beta 1 on your iPad to iOS 4.3.3 firmware. However, it is worth noting here that this tutorial will only work if you have SHSH blobs saved for the respective firmware you downgrading to.
