Hello everyone, I just got a new iPhone 4S and it is running iOS 5. I have a Gevey SIM that I used previously to unlock my iPhone 4 before upgrading to iPhone 4S. I have tried to unlock the new iPhone 4S but to no avail. Anyone knows how to unlock this phone? Thanks.

Well, regarding your questions about iPhone 4S unlock using Gevey SIM, unfortunately there’s no way you will be able to unlock your iPhone 4S from its contracted mobile phone carrier using Gevey SIM hardware-based unlock. This is primarily because of the fact that iPhone 4S and the stock iOS 5 (including the iOS 5.0.1) is not supported by Gevey SIM. In fact, Gevey SIM is also not working on stock iOS 5 and iOS 5.0.1 on non-jailbroken and jailbroken iPhone 4. And in order to unlock iPhone 4 using Gevey SIM on the latest firmware, you will need to restore iOS 5 custom firmware created using the latest version of Redsn0w 0.9.9b8 (the ability to create custom firmware using Redsn0w is available in Mac OS X version only) or with Sn0wbreeze 2.8 beta (exclusive for Windows only).
But I am pretty sure that Applenberry as well as the iPhone Dev-Team is figuring out how to unlock iPhone. Hopefully they will be able to release it very soon.
