How to Unlock iPhone 4 on iOS 4.3.4 with Ultrasn0w?

I just received my new iPhone 4 replacement from Apple Store after my battery crashed while I’m charging it. Anyway, I am planning to jailbreak and unlock it. It is currently running on iOS 4.3.4 with baseband 4.10.01. I know that I need to use PwnageTool to get it jailbroken. But the problem is I am not so sure how to get it unlock. Please help. Thanks.

Hello Emma, you will be able to jailbreak iPhone 4 on iOS 4.3.4 using PwnageTool 4.3.3 and PwnageTool Bundle to preserve the baseband version of your device. However, the only catch this time around is that, for now, the PwnageTool offers tethered jailbreak method only. Meaning, you have to connect your iPhone 4 into your Mac via USB every time you power off or restart the device to boot it in tethered jailbreak state. The jailbreaking process using PwnageTool 4.3.3 with PwnageTool Bundle is quite complicated as you have to modify the jailbreak tool as well as create a tethered boot utility for your device. You can follow this tutorial on how to jailbreak iOS 4.3.4 using PwnageTool 4.3.3 with PwnageTool Bundle.

Regarding Ultrasn0w unlock, unfortunately, there’s still no baseband unlock support for iOS 4.3.4, which includes other new basebands. The iPhone Dev Team will definitely release the new version of Ultrasn0w after Apple launches the final version of iOS 5 firmware into the public this coming fall. If the Ultrasn0w unlock will not be available for the iOS 5, optionally, you can unlock your iPhone 4 using Gevey SIM Pro. You can check this step by step guide on how to unlock iPhone 4 on iOS 5 beta 2 using Gevey Ultra SIM.
