Hi Jaxov! Hope you can help me with this predicament regarding my iPhone 4. I'm not exactly well-versed in the matter of jailbreaking, so please bear with me. You see, I've opted to update my iPhone 4's firmware to iOS 6.0.1. However, I can't say I am happy with my action because the jailbreak available for iOS 6 seems to be buggy. It turns out, I'm just not comfortable with a tethered jailbreak. My phone ran out of power once and I went to the tedium of running my device over Redsn0w, just to restore its jailbroken state. So now, I'm considering downgrading from iOS 6.0.1 to iOS 5.1.1.
I've done some reading over the web and I found out I'll need the SHSH blobs of the firmware to downgrade into. So my question is, how can I acquire the iOS 5.1.1 SHSH blobs? I don't remember ever saving the iOS 5.1.1 SHSH blobs, so does this mean I'm stuck with iOS 6? Hope you can help me solve this one! Thanks in advance!

Greetings Duncan! That's quite the situation you're in. However, there's still a chance to downgrade, provided you meet these requirements. First, you have an iPhone 4, so downgrading your device from iOS 6 to iOS 5.1.1 is possible. You said you haven't saved your iOS 5.1.1 SHSH blobs, but in reality, you don't need to save it manually. Assuming you have jailbroken iOS 5.1.1 on your iPhone 4, you have nothing to worry about because you have the iOS 5.1.1 SHSH blobs you need.
You see, Saurik has made it easier for users to save their SHSH blobs by making Cydia automatically save the blobs on the user's behalf. This basically means if you have jailbroken your iOS device before on several firmwares, then you should have multiple SHSH blobs saved, just by jailbreaking and installing Cydia. So, if you've jailbroken iOS 5.1.1 before and used Cydia, then you should've saved the required blobs. This means you can easily downgrade. So, how can you check if you've saved the iOS 5.1.1 SHSH Blobs? You said you've already jailbroken your iPhone, so just launch Cydia and see the saved SHSH blobs, the ones in green text, Cydia has managed to save for you. Check the screenshot below. The SHSH blobs saved are highlighted in red:
Just check if you've saved the iOS 5.1.1 SHSH Blobs in Cydia. If you do, then you're good to go for downgrading. Just in case you need a little bit of help, feel free to use this tutorial on how to downgrade iOS 6.0.1 to iOS 5.1.1. Hope this helps you solve your problem!
