Hi guys, I am using a jailbroken and unlocked iPhone 4 on iOS 4.3.5. However, the problem is some apps and features of the iPhone are not working after unlocking it using Gevey SIM Pro. A friend told me that activating my iPhone through iTunes or using SAM will fix the issue. The problem is I don’t have the official SIM card to activate this phone. My question is; will I be able to activate it even without the SIM card? Thanks.

Hello Gerard, yes, you will be able to activate your iPhone using SAM even without the official SIM card of your iPhone (You can also activate your iPhone using any AT&T SIM card). In addition from activating your iPhone, you will also be able to fix the Push Notification system of your jailbroken iPhone as well as enhance the battery life of your device. Furthermore, you will also be able to fix FaceTime video chat as well as other features and apps that stops working properly after jailbreaking and unlocking the iPhone.
Anyway, you can check the step by step guide posted here on how to activate an iPhone using SAM. Just simply follow the instructions till you get the WildcardActivated notification.
For those who unlocked their iPhone using Gevey SIM Pro and did not jailbreak their device, if you want to fix some of the issues of your iPhone using SAM, then you will need to jailbreak / hacktivate your iPhone using Redsn0w. The step by step guide on how to jailbreak iPhone on iOS 4.3.3 using Redsn0w 0.9.6RC16 can be found here. And all iPhone users on iOS 4.3.5 can use Redsn0w 0.9.8b4 which is posted on this link.
