Hi guys, I’m planning get an iPhone 4 this week as my old Android is about to retire. Actually, my original plan is to get a new Android phone but what makes me decide to gen an iPhone is the Internet tethering feature. I have a Macbook and my friend told me that I will be to share or tether the iPhone’s Internet / 3G network into my Macbook for absolutely free. I have already checked the web about this, but I’m still quite unsure if this is for real. Please advice.

There are numerous apps that features free Internet tethering and all of them are great. But I would recommend you to use MyWi tethering app. Aside from the fact that MyWi is the most downloaded and popular app that can be downloaded from Cydia, it also has a user-friendly interface and can be configured in an instant. With MyWi app, you will be able to create your own Wi-Fi hotspot with your iPhone. If you have a Wi-Fi only iPad, then you will be greatly benefit on this app as you can throw free internet connection on your 9.7 inch tablet for free by tethering your iPad into your iPhone. Just be wary of doing this if you don’t have an unlimited data plan. As of writing this, MyWi currently available in Cydia App Store for $19.99.
Once you already had your iPhone 4, then you can follow on this tutorial to jailbreak it on iOS 4.3.3 using Redsn0w 0.9.6rc16. After jailbreaking, you can refer to this tutorial to download and install MyWi on you iPhone 4.
