Hi guys, I keep getting iTunes error 3194 every time I am trying to downgrade my iPhone 4 back to iOS 4.3.3 using iTunes and SHSH blobs. A friend told me that modifying iTunes HOSTS file will do the trick. So, any idea how to edit iTunes HOSTS file? Please help I am completely novice about iPhone jailbreaking. Thanks.

How to Edit HOSTS File on Windows:
Step 1: Open Notepad or any text editing tool. Now, launch windows explorer or press Windows + E and navigate to C:WindowsSystem32driversetc and then in ETC directory open HOSTS file with Notepad.
Step 2: Then you have to add 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com to the end of HOSTS file and then save it.
How to Edit HOSTS File on Mac:
Step 1: Click on Go -> Go to Folder and then enter path /etc
Step 2: Now you have to open HOSTS file via TextEdit and then add 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com at the end of the file.
Well, there’s other option available to bypass iTunes error 3194 without editing iTunes HOSTS file. To do that, just simply follow this tutorial on how to create a signed iOS 4.3.3 SHSH blobs using iFaith SHSH Blobs Dumper v1.1. Once restored to iOS 4.3.3, you can refer on this guide on how to jailbreak iPhone using JailbreakMe 3.0.
im running as administrator and it still says i have no permission
it wont let me save it, says i have no permission.
Make sure that you have admin access. Try running notepad as an administrator (Right-click > Run as Administrator). Hope this helps!!
