Cydia App on iPhone 4 Not Working After Jailbreaking with Redsn0w 0.9.8b4

Hello guys, I have an iPhone with iOS 4.3.3 installed. The device was jailbroken using Redsn0w 0.9.6RC16 on Windows 7. However, just week after jailbreaking, Cydia crashed and now is not working at all. Any idea how to get it working again? Or do I need to restore my device? Please advice. Thanks!

Hello Leedon, you can easily fix this issue by re-jailbreaking it using the latest version of Redsn0w available for Mac OS X or Windows. You can download Redsn0w 0.9.6RC19 for Windows using this link (Mac OS X users can get Redsn0w 0.9.6RC19 from here). Then the step by step guide on how to use Redsn0w can be found on this blog post.

On the other hand, if you have a saved iOS 4.3.3 SHSH Blobs, then you can restore the latest iPhone firmware (iOS 4.3.5) on your device and then downgrade it back to iOS 4.3.3 using the saved SHSH blobs and TinyUmbrella. You can follow this guide on how to downgrade iPhone using TinyUmbrella. But before you restore, you should sync your iPhone to iTunes and backup your important data.

Don’t have saved SHSH Blobs but you want to restore iOS 4.3.3? Yes, this is now possible. To do that, you can use iFaith SHSH Blobs Dumper to create a signed iOS 4.3.3 which you can restore on your device. You can follow this tutorial on how to create signed IPSW using iFaith. Once on iOS 4.3.3, you can now jailbreak it using JailbreakMe 3.0.
