Can’t Receive Push Notification on Jailbroken iPhone 2G 3.1.3

Hi, I have iPhone 2G, been using this phone for almost 5 years and had no plan to change as long as it is working :D. Anyway, my iPhone 2G is jailbroken and unlocked on iOS 3.1.3 firmware. However, ever since I’ve restored my phone and updated it to iOS 3.1.3, I have noticed that the push notification of the iPhone stops working at all. How can I fix it? I am pretty tired figuring out how to fix it. I am sure that you guys can help me.  Please help. Thanks in advance.

Hello Ben, unfortunately, Apple’s Push Notification system on your iPhone 2G will not work accordingly as you r iPhone is still Hacktivated. Meaning, in order to make Push Notification works on your iPhone 3G, you will need to activate your iPhone first and you can do it using SAM. To download SAM, all you have to do is launch Cydia app on your jailbroken iPhone, and then tap on Manage tab followed by tapping on Sources section, then tap on Edit button followed by a tap on Add button. Now enter as a new Cydia/APT URL and tap on Add Source button. Then tap on the Search tab at the bottom and type SAM. From the search results, choose SAM and tap on Install button on the top-right to start the installation. Reboot your device once done. Once download and installed on your iPhone 2G, you can refer on this tutorial on how to activate iPhone 2G using SAM. You will start getting Push Notifications after this process. If not, then you can install Push Doctor app from Cydia.
