Hello guys, I am totally noob to the jailbreaking and unlocking scene. What I want to do is to upgrade my jailbroken iPhone 4 to iOS 5 and then restore all of my contacts, emails, photos, and my jailbreak apps. Currently my iPhone is on iOS 4.3.3 jailbroken with JailbreakMe 3.0. Is this possible? Thanks.

Just like iTunes-backup, you will be able to backup your jailbreak data and restore them your device. Anyway, to use PkgBckup, all you need to do is launch Cydia, select Utilities under Sections and then select PkgBackup (version 5.0.1-1) from the list of Packages. Then press to Purchase PkgBackup from the Cydia Store for $3.49 and install it on your iPhone. After installing, just simply launch the newly installed PkgBackup in order to backup your jailbreak data. Then select app packages that you want to backup. If you want to backup your settings, then you should switch ON the Include Layout option. After selecting packages, just simply press the Backup button to start the process. Once done, the app will prompt you to sync your iOS device to iTunes (Get the iTunes 10.5 from here). Once you have successfully synced your iOS device to iTunes, you can now restore your device to stock iOS 5 and then jailbreak it using Redsn0w 0.9.9b6. Then after jailbreaking your iPhone on iOS 5, you can now restore your backup by reinstalling PkgBackup from Cydia Store. That’s it!
