MSFT.guy has released PwnageTool bundles to jailbreak iPhone iPhone 3GS on iOS 4. These bundles act as a workaround to allow current PwnageTool 3.1.5(Dev-Team official) create iOS 4 custom firmware files for iPhone 3GS, as the PwnageTool averts the baseband upgrade during jailbreak, therefore we can unlock iPhone 3GS by using blacksn0w or ultransn0w. MSFT.guy has a history of modifying official jailbreak tools to add support for latest firmwares, previously he patched blacksn0w to work with firmware 3.1.3 05.11.07 baseband and recently he modified blacksn0w to unlock iPhone OS 4.0 Beta-4(now knows as iOS 4).

In past, we have seen many fake attempts like thunderst0rm, limera1n to jailbreak/unlock iDevices, but this time we’ve something new! A new guy (@4n0nym0u5DEV) who claims to be an iPhone hacker has released a modified version of PwnageTool – PwnageTool 4.0 which can jailbreak iPhone 3GS 4.0 OS without upgrading its firmware. Users who have tried PwnageTool 4.0/3.1.6 are reporting issues like it doesn’t work, phone halting etc.

Folks at YouTube have carried out various speed tests between Apple iPad and iPhone 3GS and found iPad way faster than the iPhone. The tests were performed to compare the browsing, app downloading and app opening speed of the said iDevices. iPad is the winner in all three criterion.
