Just after the leak of Dell Lightning, Engadget has revealed another leak named “Dell Thunder”. It is another smartphone by DELL which will be releasing at the end of this year. Powered by Android 2.1, Dell Lightning will be coming with a huge 4.1-inches OLED display and 8MP autofocus camera with LED flash. Like Dell Lightning, it will be fully capable of running Flash 10.1.

The main highlights of iPhone OS 4.0 include Multitasking, Game Center, Folder Feature and support for 5x Digital Zoom. Currently HTC is the only vendor who is creating smartphones capable of running Windows Mobile OS and Android OS. However HTC HD2 is also known to be capable of running Windows Phone 7 series.

Unexpectedly, Sprint has confirmed the rumor little before anticipated time-frame and has announced its first 4G handset, it will dubbed as HTC EVO 4G and will be released this Summer. Google has recently released a software update for Nexus One, update included essential ‘Multitouch’ functionality for Nexus One, along with other speed/performance enhancements updates. Few bugs reported in earlier release are also taken care of in latest update. Initially Google released OTA (over-the-air) upgrade for all users, which means that users can update the software online and you don’t need to connect your device to computer, all you need is an internet connection on your Nexus One from your service provider, later Google also provided software update for download as well, so now both option are available. Multitouch capability/functionality in touch phones is really a question these days, due to some patents, multitouch functionality is not allowed in US on all phones, like Motorola Droid US version on Verizon didn’t come with multitouch. Same goes for Google’s Nexus One, it didn’t come with a multitouch capable web browser etc even though the hardware(HTC) and Android 2.1 OS is fully capable of multitouch functionality. Within the first week of Nexus One’s release, Paul at Modaco forums has managed to release the first ever Android 2.1 custom ROM for Nexus One which packs a custom kernel, and includes busybox, nano 2.09, parted and sqlite tools, Wireless Tethering option (Yay!), titanium backup and more. Note that this custom ROM includes tethering hack of Nexus One which was previously available as a part of add-ons pack for Nexus One.

However after its release, bootloaders were locked by Google Nexus One team which was later unlocked by the same person via bootloader’s hidden command. And now, just within week of the release of Nexus One, folks at XDA forums has hacked it again to enable wireless and wired tethering option in Android 2.1 by installing an addon over the top of the existing Android 2.1 firmware.
