Yesterday at the "Let's Talk iPhone" event, along with the announcement of the next generation iPhone, the iPhone 4S, Apple also rolled out the Gold Master version of iOS 5. iH8sn0w has silently updated his iBooty tool to version 2.3 by releasing Sn0wbreeze 2.8b3 for iOS 5 beta 2 jailbreak. There is no official changelog provided by iH8sn0w but after testing it out, i can definitely say it helps you to boot your iOS 5 iDevice into tethered mode, much faster than iBooty 2.2. iH8sn0w has just released Sn0wbreeze 2.8b1 to jailbreak iOS 5b1 on Windows. Before proceeding to the jailbreak procedure, note that this is a tethered jailbreak which is intended for developers only. Sn0wbreeze 2.8b1 will NOT hacktivate your iPhone, so you will still be needing a registered UDID to activate your iPhone. Except iPad 2, Sn0wbreeze 2.8b1 will jailbreak iOS 5 on all supported iDevices.
