Google Nexus one became the fastest clocked smartphone available in the market after being overclocked to 5Ghz & 9Ghz. Android Hackers (Kmobs) managed to overclock the Qualcomm Snapdragon chip of Nexus One upto 9Ghz who’s normal clock speed is 1Ghz. Nexus One was overclocked to 1.113Ghz couple of days ago. On the other hand Motorola Droid is far behind in competition as it was overclocked to max 1.3Ghz only.

However now you can save sessions in Google Chrome too by using an extension known as Session Manager. Session Manager is a Google Chrome extension which allows you to save sessions of your opened tabs and windows, and to quickly re-open them whenever you like.

Some good news for WiMAX users/customers! Sprint as we know is offering 4G WiMAX services in US, their WiMAX network is named as XHOM, they are offering WiMAX services via CPEs(Customer Premises Equipments) and USB devices. There are no WiMAX/4G enabled handsets available for sprint customers now, the primary reason for this is lack of WiMAX handsets in market, there are hardly any WiMAX handsets available, one reasons for manufacturers not investing in WiMAX handsets could be the absence of mobility in WiMAX networks, most WiMAX networks around the globe are offering fixed/non-mobility services. Sprint, however do offer mobility to its customers, so it badly needs WiMAX handsets. Acc to a Forbes report, Sprint is going to launch its very first WiMAX phone in the first half of this year!

Mozilla has recently released a portable version of Firefox for Windows based mobile phones, next on the track is their mobile project named Fennec, this this project Mozilla will release customized Firefox Browser for Android phones. As per a member of Fennec team, the project Fennec’s testing for Android is going good and soon they we’ll have an alpha release of their product out for Android OS handsets.

Some anonymous Apple insider has dropped top to many famous iPhone/Apple blogs recently regarding iPhone 4.0 OS. Tip states that “Apple will demo iPhone OS 4.0 on March 14th”. Well it looks that it’s pretty much a rumor, as 14th March is on Sunday and it’s highly unlikely that Apple will officially announce their new firmware/OS on a Sunday.

The first demonstration of Opera Mini running on iPhone 3GS was made at Mobile World Congress where it loaded New York Times webpage almost 5x times faster than iPhone 3GS’ stock browser.
