Google has released Android 2.2.1 update for Nexus One owners. It's a minor update and will be rolled out initially for Google Nexus One and soon it will be available for other Android phones via OTA (Over-The-Air) method.

You can easily root Android 2.2 (Froyo) on Google Nexus One with Universal Androot app. Rooting Nexus One has number of benefits: It allows you to take screenshots of your phone screen with ease, moreover it gives you complete access to the file system of your phone's OS, allowing you to uninstall the useless Android stock apps and much more.

Google has released final version of Android 2.2 (Froyo) for Nexus One. Final version has built FRF85B. Users will receive FRF85B built update OTA (Over The Air).
