Last week Apple gave a surprise to its fans by giving replace warranty over iPad’s dead battery, that is Apple will give you a new iPad if your battery is not holding any charge. This time its not a good news for those who have pre-ordered the newly announced iPad on March 12 as Apple have delayed some of the branded iPad accessories. iPad keyboard dock which was scheduled for shipment in late April will now ship sometime in May. Same is the case for iPad’s case. It will now ship in mid April instead of 3rd April, the original shipment date.

While many of you might be thinking whether you should buy an iPad or not?, over 91,000 iPads have already been sold in the first 6 hours of the presale excluding multiple orders. By 8 hours, this count must have hit 100,000 for sure. Over 51,000 units of iPads were sold within two hours of its pre-order which is very impressive! We would like to mention here that only 20,000 units of Google Nexus One were sold in the first week of its release. The ratio of iPad sales to Nexus One sales is 120:1 which means 120 iPads were shipped for every single Nexus One!

As announced by Apple earlier, pre-order of iPad, both the Wi-Fi only version, and Wi-Fi + 3G version starts from today. The WiFi-only models will be priced at $499 for the 16GB iPad, $599 for the 32GB iPad and $699 for the 64GB iPad. As of late-April, the 3G version of the tablet will go on sale, priced at $629, $729 and $829 respectively for the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models.

According to 9to5Mac, iPhone SDK 3.2 Beta 4 has revealed number of new gestures including the triple tap and a long press gesture. You may see number of plist files in the gestures folder including 3Tap.plist and LongPress.plist. Moreover camera features which were revealed by the previous version of iPhone SDK 3.2 are now removed from the current version of SDK.

Putting all rumors about iPad delay aside, Apple has finally announced that iPad is coming to US on April 3rd with pre-orders starting on March 12th. Only WiFi models will be available to US customers now, iPad 3G models would be available in late April. For countries other than US including (Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK), all iPad models will go on sale in late April.
