Once in a while, there’s an upcoming jailbreak tweak that manages to stir some excitement within the jailbreak community. This new jailbreak tweak called Alympus surely fits the bill. This promising jailbreak tweak is a collaboration between well-known developer iKyle and talented designer Surenix. Alympus looks like another spin to the iOS 8 App Switcher and it’s looking good.
Surenix has earlier Surenix Twitter that provides a sneak peek of the upcoming Alympus tweak. As mentioned, the tweak is looking to replace the default app switcher and is navigated using gestures. From the looks of it, the tweaked app switcher is accessed by swiping up the screen. Watch the Vine video below:
As you can see from the video, you will be able to resize the app cards using gestures. At one point in the video, you can see that there are 9 app cards displayed which should definitely make things faster when switching between apps. Swiping down one of the app cards will terminate that particular app. Like most high quality jailbreak tweaks, Alympus is working as smooth as butter and it looks like a native feature.
Alympus is a jailbreak tweak that gives the App Switcher a much-needed redesign. From the looks of it, there’s a lot of reason to be excited. Aside from the short preview video, there are no further details like release date and pricing provided. We will let you know once Alympus finally becomes available in Cydia.
