Over the past weeks, the jailbreak community has been abuzz because a new jailbreak (or jailbreaks) has been released. The Chinese TaiG jailbreak team has been quite busy with the release of the iOS 8.3 jailbreak. It was not long after that Apple released iOS 8.4 update to the public. And again, TaiG team has been on the case and released the iOS 8.4 jailbreak. TaiG released another update for its jailbreak tool.
The newest version of TaiG stands at version 2.3.1 and it looks like a fairly minor update for the tool. Basically, TaiG 2.3.1 is now integrated with Cydia 1.1.20. In case you don’t know, Cydia was recently updated by Saurik in order to fix bugs and other issues. The change log for TaiG 2.3.1 only reads as:
Integrate the latest Cydia 1.1.20.
TaiG team has also updated the Cydia-based TaiG 8.0-8.1.x Untether package. The latest update should enable users that have jailbroken their device using version 1.0.0 to 1.3.0 to jailbreak iOS 8 – iOS 8.1.2 to apply the ‘setreuid’ security flaw fix without needing to rejailbreak.
Users of TaiG V1.0.0-1.3.0, supporting iOS 8.0-iOS 8.1.2, don’t need to rejailbreak. If you want to remove setreuid patch, add TaiG repo (apt.taig.com) or 3K repo (apt.3kzhushou.com), and update TaiG 8.0-8.1.X Untether.
TaiG has also included the ‘setreuid’ security flaw fix with the release of TaiG jailbreak 2.3. Unfortunately, TaiG jailbreak is still only available for Windows. There is still no word about the Mac version. You can download TaiG Jailbreak 2.3.1 using the link below.Contact Us for News Tips, Corrections and Feedback
