It looks like the TaiG team has been quite busy as of late. The famed Chinese jailbreak team has just released the newest version of the TaiG jailbreak tool which is TaiG 2.1.3 (download link is provided below). This version is meant to fix the issues that have been reported with the iOS 8.3 jailbreak like disappearing app icons and getting stuck at 20% while jailbreaking.
Here is the complete change log of TaiG Jailbreak 2.1.3:
- Fix the issue of getting stuck at 20% while jailbreaking.
- Update the latest Cydia 1.1.18 and UIKitTools 220.127.116.11; fix the issue of icon missing after jailbreak.
- Fix long startup time of iPhone 4s after jailbreak.
- Fix the issue that TaiG Jailbreak Tool doesn’t work on the virtual machine.
Supposedly, the issue of getting stuck at 20% should be fixed with TaiG 2.1.2 but there are still users who have been hit with the bug. If you are still experiencing issues after using TaiG 2.0.0 or TaiG 2.1.2 jailbreak, then you might want to try jailbreaking again using TaiG 2.1.3.
However, if you have used TaiG 2.1.2 and installed the UIKit Tools 1.1.0 from Cydia, then there should be no need for you to re-jailbreak using TaiG 2.1.3. If you wish to upgrade your jailbreak to TaiG 2.1.3, you can do this via Cydia without the need to re-jailbreak. There is now an update for TaiG 8.1.3-8.x Untether package which you can get by adding TaiG’s repo: apt.taig.com to Cydia. Install it manually to upgrade your TaiG jailbreak version to 2.1.3.
