Fix #1: Delete Unwanted Apps

If your approach in installing apps is to “download them all”, then you’re going to have a bad time. Installing a plethora of apps will not only eat away your storage space, it also increases the likelihood of crashing / freezing apps. So give your iPhone 6 / 6 Plus a breather by deleting all the apps that you hardly use. Then, you might just find that the occurrences of crashing / freezing apps are reduced.

Resetting your iPhone 6 / 6 Plus to its factory setting might help solve your crashing apps problem. Fix #4: Update To The Latest Firmware

Apple is always working hard to provide the best user experience, thus firmware updates are regularly pushed out. Unless you are holding on to a jailbreak, there is no reason for you not to update to the latest iOS firmware. There are two ways to update to the latest firmware version: via OTA and through iTunes.

Personally, I don’t like updating via OTA especially with major updates. To avoid any possible bugs and apps crashing on iPhone 6 / 6 Plus, we recommend that you do a clean iOS install aka the iTunes install. Sure, it takes longer but it offers more stability and less issues.

Fix #5: Turn Off The iPhone For A While

When an app has crashed and your iPhone is caught in an infinite boot loop (power on and off loop), one thing that you can do is to turn it off and leave it alone for a little bit. Turn it back on again and see if your device has been kicked out of the loop.

NAND Flash Issue?

There have been reports speculating that the iPhone 6 Plus has a problem with NAND flash which leads to app crashes. Well as it turned out, such instances are rare and has only affected a very small number of users. Most of the complainants have a large number of apps installed (see Fix #1) with as many as 500 to 1000 apps. So all these talks about the iPhone 6 Plus’ malfunctioning NAND flash are merely speculations and false.
