In order to use Apple Pay, you need to have an iPhone 6 / iPhone 6 Plus, at least iOS 8.1, and of course, an Apple Pay compatible credit or debit card (only for the initial setup). To use Apple Pay on iPhone, you need to add a compatible credit or debit card. Below are the steps.
- Launch the iOS 8 Passbook app, then tap “Set Up Apple Pay”.
- Tap “Add a new Credit or Debit Card”.
- On the next screen, you will need to enter your Card Details. You can manually enter the details or you can click the camera icon next to the Card Number and have the iPhone scan the card for the number. Make sure all details are correct.
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions, then you will go through the verification process. Depending on the card, you may be required to call a number or use an app for verification.
Just repeat the process if you are going to add another card. For iOS 8 Passbook, you can add up to 8 different cards.
