There hasn't been much action going as of late in Cydia which can only be attributed to the release of iOS 7. However, there are still numerous noteworthy tweaks that are worth bringing into your attention. With the iOS 6.1.3 / 6.1.4 untethered jailbreak looming in the horizon, we thought it would be the best time to introduce you to a fairly new but excellent Cydia tweak.
Just a few days ago, a new Cydia tweak called Apex has been released. We have actually featured this tweak a few months ago as a concept from Sentry and A3Tweaks. And now it is an actual jailbreak tweak that you can install in your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Basically the idea behind the tweak is to stack 4 apps of similar type in one “folder.” To give you an idea on how Apex works, check out the gif below:
This way, you can sort similar apps into one application group, and you can do so in such an attractive and seamless manner. There is also a slight visual hint in the app icons so you will know which applications are stacked.
There is not many options to configure in Apex except for the ‘Show Preview’ function. Unfortunately, Apex only supports the grouping of up to four apps. So if you want more, then you are out of luck. Besides that, the Apex Cydia tweak works just as advertised. It is one of those tweaks that actually has an original idea behind it. If you want a new spin on how you organize your folders, you should definitely give Apex a try. Anyways, for such a quality work, Apex Cydia tweak only costs $0.99.
